Causey Hill Holiday Park in Northumberland is situated on the quite outskirts of historic Hexham town. Once the haunt of pillaging Vikings 1,300 years ago, nowadays Hexham defends its title of England's favourite market town – as voted by Country Life magazine.

The town centre is filled with winding streets which all navigate to the delightful Hexham Abbey.

A grand day out for all can be had at Hexham Racecourse, just one mile from Causey Hill Holiday Park Northumberland, and overlooking the town with views across rolling countryside.

Hexham's farmers market and many eclectic independent shops are a pleasure to explore and regularly attract residents from caravan parks across Northumberland. You'll find market stalls every day of the week nestled between the Abbey and the town's 15th century Moot Hall.

When staying at Causey Hill Holiday Park in Northumberland you are never far from history and landscapes or short for things to do and see. Heading north you will drive into the least populated of the UK's National Parks, Northumberland National Park with over 700 miles of paths and trails to explore. Driving 35 minutes east from the park and you're in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, one of the UK's largest cities; a hive of entertainment, shopping, art and history all located on the River Tyne. To the south is one of England's most renowned areas of moorland, the North Pennines, recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and offering breath-taking views. Finally driving west of our caravan park in Northumberland for less than an hour will take you into the heart of Carlisle, situated on the cusp of the Lake District and the Scottish boarder.

Causey Hill Holiday Park Northumberland is located close to one of the UK's grandest attractions, Hadrian's Wall a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wall is a Roman megastructure, spanning across the countryside and scattered with Roman forts, mile castles, and temples.

for Daly Park owners

As you know the Prime Minister declared a National Emergency last night and the government has put in place severe restrictions on travel outside your home and have put in place measures to aid this. Among these measures is the closure of caravan parks many of the parks in the area have closed already such as Holgates, Beetham, Lake District Estates and Holker Group Parks among a few.

Therefore in accordance with the government directive we have to close our parks effective immediately and remain closed until such time the government tells us we can reopen. If you are on the park already we ask that you leave the park by 4pm Tuesday the 24th March 2020. Anyone at home must not come to the park until we have been advised by the government that you can return. No visits are permitted during this closure.

None of us in our lifetime have had to face anything the like of what is happening in not only our country but around the world and it is our social responsibility to consider our part in the spread of this virus and on the strain on the local communities we are a part of. We all need to play our part in stopping this deadly virus and protect our families, loved ones, friends and communities.
